Without proper moisture control, mold and mildew can easily build up in a crawl space, posing a threat to both the home's foundation and the indoor air quality.
Over time, the condition of the crawl space deteriorated due to damage to the floor joists and settling of the foundation piers.
The settling of the block piers in the crawl space had caused this side of the home to become unstable and sag. If left unattended, this problem may have progressed further, potentially resulting in even more expensive repairs.
Many crawlspace areas, like this one, experience settlement over time. Shifting soils and moisture intrusion can cause a lot of these problems.
The crawlspace of this 100-year-old home was suffering from failing support beams, sagging floors, and instability overall. LRE designed the perfect solution that would eliminate these problems for good.
After the location for installation has been determined, soil is removed from the site to allow appropriate placement of the helical piers.
Soil settlement has caused the concrete slab of the homeowner's back patio to both crack and settle, creating not just an unpleasant appearance but also a potential tripping hazard.
The helical piers are placed in precise locations along the home's foundation before they are mechanically driven into the soil below.
