Staircase... You're Slacking! Hamilton, ON

A front staircase landing was undergoing some sloping and tripping hazards. This sinking concrete pad is not only a tripping hazard, but in wet and icy months, it is a slipping hazard. To cater to guests and add another safety layer, the homeowners wanted to level the concrete. Around this time, the homeowners were undergoing home renovations and did not want to invest much into re-pouring the concrete since the concrete was in good condition. Thankfully, Canadian Concrete Leveling can lift the concrete to its original position.

Home visits are in two stages; once the phone call is made, we schedule an appointment with one of our Project Managers, who provides an accurate yet honest estimate. Then, on a later day, we have our installation team come to the home and start the work. First, matt Ruskin, one of our Project Managers, arrived at the house and provided a schematic of how the installation team will lift the concrete pad to its norm. Next, Kyle McKeown, our installation supervisor, came on a later day to start the job. Kyle will be using our polyurethane injections to lift the slab and eliminate all hazards. The good news is that the polyurethane, known as PolyLevel®, is quick expanding, durable, and lightweight, which doesn't add any extra weight to the soil underneath. If the earth beneath undergoes a ton of weight and pressure, it will aid in the sinking process. The injections took under half an hour and lifted the concrete to a remarkable level.

The homeowners were ecstatic about how fast the process was, and the worry of tripping and slipping was at bay!

PolyLevel® and NexusPro® used to Prevent Pool Deck Accident in Bolton, Ontario

Finally! Pool season has arrived! There’s nothing better for pool owners than to sit and enjoy watching their kids use the pool in the backyard while mom and dad can relax with an ice-cold beverage. But, to have relaxation and peace of mind means that the kids are safe around the pool area.

This customer in Bolton, Ontario, was excited to get the pool going this year for his three children but grew concerned for their safety when they discovered the concrete slabs surrounding the perimeter of the pool had settled and cracked.

Kyle McKeown and his installation team from Canadian Concrete Leveling looked after this job efficiently and professionally. First, they sealed all the broken concrete together with our NexusPro® solution that will hold together through extreme wheather, and cures within 1 hour of application. Next, our PolyLevel® expandable polyurethane is injected through small dime-sized holes drilled into the concrete. This is the most innovative solution to sinking concrete as it is non-invasive, quick to install, and is a huge money saver compared to other methods. Within a short time, both solutions cured, and our customer could open his pool for his children to enjoy!

OnRoute Sinking Concrete Driveway, Innisfil, Ontario

Innisfil, Ontario's OnRoute had a significant hazard forming on the driveway in front. The 4-foot concrete slab had started to sink due to soil erosion beneath. This caused a lip to include in the joint, making it a tripping hazard and an unwanted lump for drivers. The property managers acted and did some research on where they found us. As a result, we can lift the existing concrete back to its original height without damaging the surface, taking days at a time, being cost-effective, and not interrupting the daily traffic.

We sent our Project Manager, Paul Mendell, for our free estimate guarantee. Paul was able to diagnose the problem, where the injections of our polyurethane would go, how long it would take, and who will be coming to the job site. Once the quote was done and uploaded, it was time to send our Installation Supervisor, Kyle McKeown, to the job. Accompanying him was our Installation Specialist JP Basto. With commercial work, we typically send out two specialists to be time effective and make sure there are two sets of eyes confirming all the components are done well. Kyle and JP started drilling holes into the problematic concrete slab and attached metal caps to prepare for the PolyLevel® machine. The machine is a gun-shaped mechanism attached to a 300ft+ insulated hose that keeps the polyurethane in liquid form, and once it's pumped out, it expands and becomes solid. The polyurethane was pumped through, lifting the surface in seconds. The great thing about polyurethane curing as quickly as it does is that the surface can be used eight after the cleanup, which eliminates traffic in the high-trafficked space. Once the PolyLevel® is underneath, the holes that were drilled in earlier then get filled up by concrete to conceal the invasion that was done and give the work a clean look. The process alone took under half an hour, and the concrete looked similar to when it was first installed.

PolyLevel® & NexusPro® for Home in Lasalle, ON

It is very tedious when trying to come and go from your garage, and you keep running over a lip in your garage's threshold. Going in is challenging since you stop at the lip and accelerate a bit more, causing your car to roll over uncontrollably until you hit the brakes and get an unwanted amount of speed when reversing over the lip. Disregarding the vehicle, it is also a tripping hazard when walking in or out.

The homeowners called Canadian Concrete Leveling, and our Project Manager, Andy Moncrieff, was on site. After analyzing the threshold and coming up with a schematic of how and where he will level the concrete, he sent his installation team another day to complete the job. Installation specialists Kyle McKeown and Russell were going to lift the concrete using PolyLevel®, a high-density, quick expanding polyurethane, and then seal off the joints using our NexusPro® sealant. The process only took under 15 minutes and did not disrupt the foot traffic, which left the homeowners happy that they could use the driveway in no time!

NexusPro® & PolyLevel® Protect Home's Foundation, Windsor, ON

In Windsor, Ontario, this home had sinking concrete slabs and a staircase that started to expose the foundation—the wall-to-floor joints being exposed, making it vulnerable to moisture attacking the foundation. The foundation was at risk; visitors were at risk for tripping hazards from the sinking concrete. With the schematics from our Project Manager Andy Moncrieff and Installation Specialist Kyle McKeown, the problem would be resolved in no time. First, PolyLevel® Injections were done to raise the concrete. Then Kyle sealed off the joints with our weatherproof, long-lasting sealant called NexusPro®.
