The salesman/designer arrived on time, reviewed the basement, discussed what his system would be like and answered all of our questions. Since we had done some research and learned about what a system might look like and cost from neighbors and other resources, we were comfortable accepting their bid. The system starts with a hole in the basement floor with a pit beneath. A large pipe runs from the hole into the basement, then outside. A fan mounted outside, that runs 24x7, pulls the radon gas from beneath the basement and exhausts it outside, above the roof. The work crew of two arrived on time, along with the electrician they had hired to add an outlet outside near where the fan would be installed. The entire job took only 3 or 4 hours. The crew was courteous and answered all of my questions that came to mind. They cleaned up after themselves and we were left with an operating radon mitigation system. They did a good job.

The crew from American Waterworks fixed my house from dangerous levels of radon. My sister came down with a terrible sickness in her lungs related to radon. She didn’t know she had high radon until she sold her home and they tested it and it was high. So I went online and found RadonEye radon detection device and put it in my utility room in my basement. My levels indicated that action was required as soon as possible! My friend advised me to call American Waterworks, I’m very glad I did! They knew what they were doing and fixed the problem! My radon level is almost nothing now!! I’m extremely happy with the job they did! I recommend everyone get their home tested! It was like I was smoking a pack a day for my lungs and I never smoked! Get this done!

The service was for radon mitigation in our home that had higher than acceptable radon levels. The work was professionally done, and care was taken to protect carpeting, etc. during their work. The crew updated us as they did their work and asked permissions for needed modifications to the house. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for quality workmanship, congenial communication, and moderate pricing.
