The homeowner faced stair-step cracks and a severe 2-inch wall deflection, posing potential risks to the structural integrity of the home. To address these concerns, we expertly installed the PowerBrace™ System. These zinc-plated steel beams are custom-fitted and securely anchored, effectively stabilizing the foundation walls. As showcased in the after photo, this method not only halted further inward wall movement but also promised potential improvement over time, ensuring a stable, safe, and healthy home environment.

Paul noticed a horizontal crack developing in one of the block walls of his Strasburg, Virginia basement. Wanting to address the issue before it worsened, he contacted Fortress Foundation Solutions for a professional inspection.

Because the problem was caught early, Travis and Jack were able to stabilize the wall with a less invasive solution by installing 6 CarbonArmor Wall Support Straps. This system reinforces the wall, helps prevent further movement, and features a low-profile design that can be finished over with drywall if desired. Mr. Louis lives in Hedgesville, West Virginia, and was experiencing settlement issues in his 1980s home, as seen in the before photo. We sent out Joe, one of our skilled system designers, to inspect the property. Joe set up his lasers, took precise measurements, and identified settlement affecting the entire right side of Mr. Louis’s home. The solution required 17 push piers to permanently stabilize the structure.

As seen in the after photo, the doorway was stabilized on both sides and now works like new. Mr. Louis is very happy knowing he not only fixed the sticking door, but also permanently stabilized his sinking home.
