When a homeowner in Irasburg, Vermont, wanted to repair their bowing basement walls, they hired Matt Clark's Northern Basement Systems.

In Greensboro, Vermont, this homeowner had been dealing with noticeably sagging floors and a “bounce” feeling throughout parts of the home. Over time, weakened support in the basement had caused the main beam to settle, putting stress on the floor system above. After installing a SmartJack® support system, the difference was immediate. The new adjustable steel supports were placed beneath the main beam on a solid, engineered base, allowing the floors above to be carefully lifted and permanently stabilized. Once complete, the home felt solid again—no more bounce, no more sag, just strong, level support where it mattered most.

This South Acworth, NH, crawl space had an inadequately supported floor system and an exposed ground surface beneath the home. Our crew installed SmartJack® crawl space supports to stabilize the structure and added a CleanSpace® vapor barrier to create a cleaner, more protected area below the home.
