The owner of this home in Harrison, OH, gave us a call because they noticed a large horizontal crack had developed across a wall in their basement. The homeowner caught their crack very early on in the failure process, which allowed us to quote them our CarbonArmor repair method. Our carbon straps are a relatively new technology, and they allow us to stabilize walls without having to do any drilling, excavating, or jackhammering. However, they can only be used in certain situations where the wall failure hasn't advanced too far. They are installed by applying a strong epoxy resin to the wall, adhering the straps to the wall, adding brackets to secure to the straps to the ceiling, and then covering the straps again with an epoxy topcoat. These straps are very thin and can be finished with a paint, which homeowners love. Because they take up little space and can be painted, homeowners can either add a finished wall system, or just conceal them with paint. 

This home had a wall that had a long horizontal crack from a shifting foundation. We installed helical piers to close the crack back together, and to stop the foundation from shifting again. 

This home in Verona, KY, had a crack sprawling from the top corner of the door frame up to the roof. This crack was a sure sign of settling, and was cause for us to install our pier system. By underpinning the foundation with our helical pier system, we were able to stabilize and lift the footing of the home, helping close the crack. This pier system is backed by our lifetime warranty that the structure will never move vertically again. 

This Erlanger, KY basement had old, ineffective braces that were no longer holding back a visibly bowing wall - you can see the lean just to the right of the door frame in the before photo. Our crew removed the outdated supports and replaced them with our PowerBrace system, which uses heavy-duty steel beams anchored to the floor and joists to permanently stabilize and to potentially straighten the wall out over time. You may also noticed we wrapped the wall with our CleanSpace vapor barrier, giving the basement a clean, bright appearance while sealing out moisture behind the bracing system. What was once a failing, visibly bowed wall is now straight, secure, and protected with a modern system built to last.

This foundation in Erlanger, KY, was in dire need of a repair system. More specifically, the load-bearing walls were bowing inwards. In Erlanger, KY, and for most of our service area, the soil is composed of natural clay. Clay soil is known for its expansive qualities, especially when it gets wet. As the clay surrounding a foundation expands, it can force an enormous amount of pressure upon a foundation, thus causing a wall(s) to bulge inwards. To fix this foundation, we braced all four walls with our PowerBrace steel beam system. The homeowner was happy to know that their foundation is safe from collapsing.
