Derek G. in Dawson, MN was concerned about his wet basement and cracked foundation walls. He had inward bowing walls and water was seeping through. He contacted American Waterworks to receive a FREE estimate, and we sent one of our Design Specialists, Ryan Powell, to his home to evaluate the situation. Derek approved of the proposed solution and moved forward with an installation date.

Our Foreman, Jose Castillo, and his production team removed the concrete around the perimeter of the basement floor. They installed 22 PowerBraces and secured them to the walls before laying the WaterGuard drainage system. Once the WaterGuard was laid, they installed our SuperSump and CleanSpace wall vapor barrier, filled back the gaps in the concrete with rock, and replaced the concrete. The installation took a couple of days to complete, but Derek is now confident in the stability of his home, and he has peace of mind that his basement will remain dry.

Our Design Specialist went to the resident's house, carefully inspected their cracked foundation wall, and proposed our CarbonAmor Reinforcing Strips, which is a foundation repair system that strengthens and stabilizes cracked or bowed foundation walls.

Our production team installed 26 wall anchors along the three walls. Rods are drilled through the brick walls and into the soil. Then, the anchors are secured with plates on each end of the rod. Once we tightened the anchors, Tyson was able to see a dramatic change in the stability of his walls. Our team installed our GeoLock Wall Anchors on each rod, made to stabilize and straighten the walls into their natural position. Juan and his team backfilled the holes and replaced the soil. Steve and Jane were thrilled with the outcome and their peace of mind was restored!

From there, the water is pumped through the discharge line and expelled from the home.
