A Conway, NH home was under contract to sell but a home inspection showed the crawl space needed repairs. The dirt floor was allowing water to seep in, causing moisture problems. We encapsulated the crawl space with drainage matting and CleanSpace vapor barrier. CleanSpace is a liner that seals out moisture, and is also treated to prevent mold growth. Spray Foam was installed on the crawl space walls to improve energy efficiency, while also sealing out air and water. 

Homeowner in Wolfeboro, NH reached out to TC Hafford Basement Systems with concerns about the walls in their basement garage. They had dealt with leaking for 25 years, coming from all walls during every rain, and over time causing some wall decay and crumbling. Our System Design Specialist Rick Russell met with the homeowner to review a plan for repair. Our foreman Joshua Benton and installer Korey Sanborn completed the work, including CleanSpace, WaterGuard, and a SuperSump system. CleanSpace is a durable, bright white vapor barrier made of inorganic materials that seals up the area and keeps moisture out.  A SuperSump was installed to collect groundwater and pumps out of the basement and away from the home through a new Exterior Buried Discharge line. Now the homeowner is able to relax knowing that their basement garage is protected and their home is more energy efficient.

A Sump Liner was installed to make the installation of a sump pump easier in the future if it becomes necessary. To finish the encapsulation system, SprayFoam was installed on the rim joists to fully protect the home. Now that the crawl space is fully encapsulated, the homeowners’ worries are taken away, and the space that caused them concern is now a perfect area for storage.
