Owning a basement without much for waterproofing, this Saint Albans, ME homeowner was tired of finding inches of standing water in their basement. After a quick Google search and a phone call to our office at TC Hafford Basement Systems, this homeowner was set up with a free estimate where they were given details about their options. Once we got the green light to begin work from the homeowner, our crew began by excavating the perimeter of the basement floor. This enabled the installation of WaterGuard piping buried just below the surface of the floor. Next, a SuperSump pump was installed as well as a PVC discharge line with built-in protections on the exterior of the home in the form of an IceGuard pipe segment. Now during heavy rainfall, the WaterGuard piping will capture any leaking moisture and guide it to the sump before it has a chance to gather on the floors surface. The SuperSump will then remove the collected water from the home at a rate over 2,600 gallons per hour. The IceGuard will prevent any blockages in the line from causing a backup in the line by releasing any blocked water through the sides of the pipe.

We installed WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement, which directed water into the new sump pump in the crawl space. CleanSpace and a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier were also installed in the Crawl Space.

This was soon replaced with a fresh concrete slab as well as a WaterGuard piping system buried within the perimeter.
