System Design Specialist Stephen C. met with Scarborough, ME homeowners for a free estimate to address the water and moisture getting into their basement. They had damp dirt floors, along with crumbly stone walls. We poured a new slab to refresh the flooring, along with slab WaterGuard. We also installed a SuperSump Plus system that the WaterGuard channels water to. The SuperSump then brings water away from the home through an exterior discharge line, protected from freezing up in the winter with IceGuard. CleanSpace Wall System was installed on the walls to give a protective vapor barrier, sealing up the crumbling stone wall. Our Spray Foam Specialist Travis L. installed Spray Foam on the rim joists to insulate the space, keeping moisture out and providing energy savings. Lastly, we installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to control the humidity and reduce moisture. 

We received a call from a homeowner in New Gloucester, ME and System Design Specialist Tom Rich went out to meet with the homeowner for a free estimate. In order to fully protect the basement, Tom put together a solution using WaterGuard perimeter drain and a TripleSafe Sump Pump. Now the homeowner can rest easy knowing that water will no longer be an issue!

To put an end to this, they called us at TC Hafford Basement Systems and after we gave them a free estimate, they hired us to get the job done. Upon arriving at the home, our crew got started on installing WaterGuard piping around the perimeter of the floor, buried just below the surface. The WaterGuard will capture any moisture leaking through the floor in the future and guide the captured water to the TripleSafe sump system installed in the floor. Lastly, a CleanSpace Wall System was put in place around the entire basement. This barrier will collect any water leaking through the walls and feed it directly into the WaterGuard below.

With a properly waterproofed basement, this homeowner will never again find their basement full of water after a heavy rain!
