This basement had bowing walls due to hydrostatic pressure in the soil around the home. Installing Foundation Supportworks' wall anchors straightened the walls. And the anchor covers provided a more aesthetically-pleasing repair.
This O'Fallon, Missouri garage started settling due to the extreme hot temperatures drying out the supporting soils under the shallower footing that only needs to be below the frost line compared to the deeper foundation of a basement. We installed several push piers in the interior of the garage to help save the homeowner's landscaping. We were able to do so since the homeowner acted quickly to get the repairs completed before further settling rotated the foundation outward. If that had occurred, we would have to install the piers on the outside of the foundation to help rotate the foundation back... and then the landscaping would have needed to be replaced too, adding to the overall cost of this project.
Now that a bowed wall is securely anchored, what are the options for finishing?
In an utility room like in this Pontoon Beach, Illinois home, the homeowners painted the foundation wall and added our Foundation Supportworks® anchor plate covers to cover up the wall anchors.
Geo-Lock earth anchors were installed in a bowing wall in Edwards, IL to permanently stabilize and straighten it over time.
Teia H. of East St. Louis was dealing with a bowing, cracked wall in her basement. The foundation integrity was collapsing under pressure, but luckily, our System Design Specialist Christopher M. knew exactly how to help her.
Calvin C. and his crew were sent to Teia’s home and installed a PowerBrace System. This gave the foundation a strong reinforcement, which provided Teia with a safe and secure home.
