The addition on this Antigo, WI home was built over a crawl space that needed better protection from ground moisture, cold temperatures, and outside air. Crawl spaces beneath additions can be especially noticeable inside the home because cold foundation walls and air leakage around the rim joists can contribute to cold floors and uncomfortable rooms above.

Sure-Dry encapsulated the crawl space with CleanSpace®, creating a durable vapor barrier that isolates the addition from ground moisture below.

The foundation walls were insulated with SilverGlo® rigid insulation panels to help reduce heat loss through the crawl space walls.

RimTight® spray foam insulation was then applied around the rim joists to seal gaps and reduce outside air infiltration. This is particularly valuable during Northern Wisconsin winters, when cold air entering around the perimeter of a crawl space can contribute to cold floors in the room above.

Together, CleanSpace, SilverGlo, and RimTight transformed the area beneath the addition into a cleaner, drier, better-insulated crawl space.
