This Manitowoc, WI homeowner had water pouring into their basement from nearly every direction. With a previously finished basement, the damage was even harder to swallow—they had to remove the bottom half of their finished walls due to extensive water intrusion and mold concerns. After: A Fully Waterproofed & Cleanly Restored Finished Basement

To stop the leaks for good, we installed a WaterGuard® interior drainage system around the perimeter of the basement to catch and redirect water before it could reach the living space. We added a TripleSafe™ Sump Pump System with battery backup for maximum water protection, and installed a Sedona SaniDry™ dehumidifier to keep humidity and mold at bay long-term.

Once dry, we restored the finished walls with EverLast™ Wall Restoration Panels—a mold-resistant, durable solution designed for basements. And to preserve the clean look of the space, we disguised the WaterGuard access ports with faux heat vents. This clever touch allowed the homeowner to reinstall flooring without blocking future access to the system.

Now, the basement is dry, clean, and looks just as good as it functions—ready for family use once again.

We installed the WaterGuard® interior drainage system around the basement perimeter to capture seepage at its point of entry. Collected water now drains to a TripleSafe® sump system that provides three layers of protection—primary pump for everyday flow, a secondary pump for peak demand, and a battery-backup pump for power outages. To prevent winter backups, we added IceGuard® anti-freeze fittings on the exterior discharge.

If the line freezes, IceGuard safely vents water away from the home instead of back into the basement. The result is a dry, reliable basement year-round.
