Two weeks after moving into their dream home in Fairfax Station, this homeowner was greeted by an unexpected challenge—water intrusion in their basement following a bout of rain and snow. Instead of letting discouragement take root, they turned to us for a solution. With precision and care, we installed our WaterGuard® system, expertly channeled to guide unwanted water to safety and ensure their basement remains a welcoming, dry space. As you notice in the after photo, stability and peace of mind are restored, showcasing the transformative power of readiness and resilience.

This homeowner in Arlington, Virginia had been dealing with water in his basement. He attempted to remedy the basement flooding issue with an inefficient open sump pump. Not only could this generic sump pump not keep the basement dry, but it not being sealed properly posed other issues. The open sump allowed moisture from the water it did collect to escape out into the space, which was causing the air to be humid and smell musty. He decided he needed a permanent fix, so he called Fortress Foundation Solutions. Our system designer went to the home and gave a free estimate and designed a system to remedy the problem. Fortress installed a waterproofing system that included our SuperSump pump, which is capable of pumping 2,200 gallons of water per hour. This SuperSump was installed with our UltraSump battery back up system that continues to pump up to 11,500 gallons of water during a power outage. All of our sump systems are air tight so moisture and smells can't escape into the air of the home. 

Tackling water intrusion challenges in Alexandria, VA, our team transformed a wet basement into a fortress against moisture. As seen in the before photo, unwanted water made itself at home, revealing efflorescence behind walls. System designer, Skylar followed our mission: replace worry with wellbeing. By installing our TripleSafe Sump Pump, IceGuard, CleanSpace, SaniDry Sedona, and WaterGuard systems, we reclaimed this basement space, as showcased in the after photo. Our thrust for solving complex issues ensured a dry, serene, and reliable outcome—fortifying homes and peace of mind, alike.

This homeowner's crawlspace was in bad shape. It was holding a lot of moisture, causing the insullation to fall and the air quality to be less than ideal. A damp crawlspace can also threaten the integrity of the home by weakening the floor joists and beams. They called Fortress Foundation Solutions for help. Our systems designer went out and gave them a free estimate and proposed a solution to save their crawlspace. A crew installed a full encapsulation using our CleanSpace vapor barrier and SilverGlo insulation. They also installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, which acts as an air purifier as well as a dehumidifier. This crawlspace is now safe from moisture and critters and has been turned into a usable space for storage. On top of all that, the homeowners can have peace of mind that they are breathing the cleanest air thanks to the SaniDry Sedona. 

The existing sump location was not ideal for the water issued that were present in the home.  A new optimal location was chosen and in conjucntion with WaterGuard the Super Sump will efficiently and effective manage the water in the space.
