Mr. Price in Danville noticed a small crack forming along one of his basement walls that eventually developed into a slight inward bow. Not wanting it to turn into a bigger issue, he reached out to Fortress Foundation Solutions and scheduled a FREE inspection. Our system designer evaluated the wall and found early signs of pressure from the surrounding soil causing the movement.
After reviewing the proposal, Mr. Price decided to move forward with the repair. Nick and the crew installed four CarbonArmor® straps along the affected area, bonding them directly to the wall to stabilize it and prevent any further bowing or cracking.
Now, the wall is fully stabilized and secure. Mr. Price can feel confident knowing the issue was caught early and resolved with a clean, long-lasting solution.
This project was for homeowner Paul, in Forest, Virginia. We installed 5 PowerBrace Wall Support Beams and several GeoLock Wall Anchors to support a failing basement wall in his home.
Landon in Lynchburg noticed a few small cracks forming along one of the basement walls. At first it didn’t seem like much, but after a closer look—and spotting a slight inward bow—there was enough concern to reach out to our team and schedule a FREE inspection. Our system designer evaluated the wall and found early signs of pressure from the surrounding soil.
After reviewing the proposal, Landon decided to move forward with the repair. Since the issue was caught early, our crew was able to stabilize the wall without a major rebuild. We installed five CarbonArmor straps along the affected area, bonding them directly to the wall to prevent any further movement.
Now, the wall is stable and secure. By addressing the problem early, Landon can have peace of mind knowing it won’t get worse over time.
In Roseland, VA, homeowners purchased a home "as is" and, during renovations, contacted Fortress Foundation Solutions for a free evaluation to ensure the crawl space was structurally sound before rebuilding the floors. Sumner, our System Designer, performed the inspection and discovered failing floor joists, a rotted main beam, high humidity, insulation scattered throughout the crawl space, gaps and cracks allowing outside air to enter, and overall poor conditions.
Sumner developed a comprehensive repair plan and walked the homeowners through each recommendation. After approving the proposal, our Foreman Pete and his crew completed the project over the course of about a week.
The completed solution included a full crawl space encapsulation, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, SilverGlo wall insulation, sill plate replacement, main beam replacement, and extensive joist sistering. Today, these homeowners have a safe, stable, and healthier crawl space - providing a strong foundation they can confidently continue building their home on.
This Fishersville homeowner was dealing with both foundation settlement and a bowing basement wall. These structural issues threatened the stability of the home and required a permanent repair solution.
Tyler and his crew installed 3 Helical Piers to stabilize the settling foundation and 3 GeoLock Wall Anchors to reinforce the bowing wall and prevent further movement. As shown in the after photos, the home's foundation is now properly supported and the wall has been permanently stabilized for long-term protection.
