Crawl Space Encapsulation, Cottonwood Dr, Winchester VA

This home owner called Fortress Foundation Solutions worried because there was a musty smell throughout their home. They called our Fortress team and we sent our System Designer, Sonny, out to take a look. Sonny inspected the property and discovered water getting into their crawl space. After Sonny was finished with his inspection, he determined that the best solution was to have our production team install our Crawl Space Encapsulation System along with our SmartSump Pump to remove the water permanently and give them peace of mind knowing their crawl space will always be dry.

Encapsulating Crawl Space on Lake Saponi Drive, Barboursville, VA

This customer was worried about the state of his crawl space, particularly about the water leaking in, so he called Fortress Foundation Solutions to come give him a free estimate. We sent out our System Designer, Paul Heckman, who did a thorough inspection of his crawl space and designed a solution just for him. Soon after signing the contract, our Foreman, Travis Farmer, and his crew went out to complete the job. They installed our SmartPump Sump Pump system to keep the water out, as well as our SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier to keep the air in the crawl space moisture-free. To finish the job, they installed our SilverGlo Insulation on the walls, as well as our Drainage Matting and CleanSpace Vapor Barrier on the ground to ensure the crawl space stays nice and dry. Our client was incredibly satisfied with the result!

Finding usable space in Stephens city, VA

Rebecca in Stephens City, Virginia has a full house. She’s lived there for 10 years with the intention of it being her forever home.

As seen in the before photo, her crawl space was not equipped for storage - it wasn’t even dry down there. Rebecca needed extra usable space in her home so she could empty out a spare room for her sister to move in. She called Fortress, and we sent out Cara, one of our system designers, to help.

Cara’s solution included addressing the groundwater seepage and fully encapsulating the crawl space. After doing her own research, Rebecca came to the same conclusion. Nick was the foreman on the job, and he executed the project seamlessly.

Now Rebecca has clean, usable storage space and can safely store her belongings in an area of the home she was already paying for anyway.

Sagging Floor Repair in Farmville, Virginia

Robert in Farmville, Virginia was concerned with the floors in his home being properly supported. He had noticed slight bouncing and gaps between the floor and walls, all signs of issues stemming from his crawl space. Upon inspection we found that high humidity had weakened the main beam and several joists under his home. Travis and Jack, one of our expert crews, went out and installed 2 of our SmartJack Floor Support jacks + a steel supplemental beam to properly support the floors above. We also sistered several failing joists for added protection.

Crawl Space Encapsulation at Waterproofing in Palmyra, Virginia

Christina, a homeowner in Palmyra, Virginia, reached out to us to see about solutions for her crawl space. We went out and performed an inspection and found standing water and high humidity. If left alone, these issues could weaken the structure under her home and cause lasting, expensive damage. Travis, Jack, and Mickey went out later and installed a full encapsulation system to seal off the crawl space from the outside air and keep water out. They started by spraying MoldX to remove organic growth that had appeared on the wooden joists. They then put in our EzFlow Drainage System, SuperSump Sump Pump, and CleanSpace Vapor Barrier to fully enclose the space. We also added a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier to control humidity.
