In Goodview, Mr. Page was dealing with ongoing moisture and damp air in his crawl space. Even though the space was smaller in size, excess humidity beneath the home was creating concerns about air quality and the potential for future moisture-related problems.
To create a healthier and more controlled environment, Travis and Jack installed a CleanSpace® vapor barrier throughout the crawl space to seal out ground moisture and help keep the area dry. A SaniDry™ Sedona dehumidifier was also installed to control humidity levels and improve air quality beneath the home.
As shown in the after photo, the crawl space is now cleaner, drier, and much better protected from future moisture issues. Mr. Page can now enjoy greater peace of mind knowing the area beneath his home has reliable, long-term moisture control in place.
This homeowner in Blue Grass, Virginia, gave Fortress a call to see about getting their crawl space encapsulated. We sent out a system designer to preform an inspection and see what we could do for the customer. After his inspection, we found that the crawl space was suffering from high humidity, which could lead to mold, and wood rot down the line. We recommended a full encapsulation of the space and utilized our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier paired with a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifer.
This client was wanting to encapsulate his crawlspace, so he called Fortress Foundation Solutions, who sent out our System Designer Chris Wilmouth. After taking a look around, Chris figured out the best solution and gave the homeowner a free estimate. Shortly after, Charlie Evans and his crew went out to finish the project. They took out all the old, torn up insulation and replaced it with our SilverGlow Insulation, and after laying down our Drainage Matting, they put our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier on top to ensure that the crawlspace stays clean and dry. Our client was very satisfied with the results!
