This stucco wall in Knoxville, TN cracked due to foundation failure, resulting in "stair step cracks." To repair it, Master Foundation and Crawl Space Repair installed Helical Piers to stabilize the foundation. To do this, the team screwed steel piers deep into the soil below the home. The piers are strategically placed around the home and in the earth with a steel foundation bracket which connects the piers to the home's footing. These piers and brackets will hold the weight of the home securely due to the more resilient soil or bedrock deeper in the ground. While it can be difficult to close the cracks perfectly in a case like this, the team was able to restore this wall easily and cleanly. 

A Knoxville homeowner contacted us after noticing sagging floors and concerns about structural support in their crawl space. Our inspection revealed that the space was relying on aging concrete block piers with no supplemental reinforcement. This driveway was cracking. When there's too much rain, it can wash away the soil under concrete. Too little rain, and the clay-based soil will contract and shrink.
