We used Smart Jacks to lift the settling foundation in the crawlspace!

Many homes were built on cinder blocks as their foundation.  Cinder blocks are porous and can hold a lot of water, this is also not the best environment for the wood that holds up the floors.  The homeowners noticed a lot of squeaking, a lot of doors and windows not opening as they once had. It was decided that a series of smart jacks were the right solution for this home. Smart jacks are designed to provide support and stability to a foundation. The results? This 117 year old 2 story home in Humbolt, Tennessee had some piers that need to be reworked and floors leveled. The family was having trouble finding anyone   that would give an estimate to do the work. The problem was getting worse and the home owner had no plans of going anywhere.
