We used Smart Jacks to lift the settling foundation in the crawlspace!

Many homes were built on cinder blocks as their foundation.  Cinder blocks are porous and can hold a lot of water, this is also not the best environment for the wood that holds up the floors.  The homeowners noticed a lot of squeaking, a lot of doors and windows not opening as they once had. It was decided that a series of smart jacks were the right solution for this home. Smart jacks are designed to provide support and stability to a foundation. The results? Homeowners that no longer need to worry.

This 117 year old 2 story home in Humbolt, Tennessee had some piers that need to be reworked and floors leveled. The family was having trouble finding anyone   that would give an estimate to do the work. The problem was getting worse and the home owner had no plans of going anywhere. The correct permanent solution was important to him. The priority of this project was to permanently stabilize, lift & level the floors. Frontier did a free inspection then reviewed what they found with the home owner. Smart Jacks, supplemental steal beam, and a little lift will do the trick.

The floor joists in this Sharon, TN home had seen better days. Due to the moisture from an un-encapsulated crawlspace, the wooden floor joists were rotting away.
