These homeowners in Ashland City Tennessee were having some problems with their crawl space and high humidity.  They felt that their floors were begging to sag and contacted Frontier Basement Systems for a free inspection.  Frontier went out to their home, did a thorough inspection and together with the homeowners it was decided that a full encapsulation of their crawl space with CleanSpace was the best solution for this home.  CleanSpace is a 20-mil thick vapor barrier designed to keep water and moisture out of a crawl space.  What a difference in the before and after’s of this crawl space.

This Ashland City family was using their crawl space for storage but knew the conditions of the space were not great and wanted to know if a healthy crawl space was possible.

The main purpose of a crawlspace is to provide a space between the foundation and the subfloor to access ducts, pipes and wires.

This home in particular had so much fallen insulation and old dirty liner in the way, there was no easy access to anything. As well as letting the relative humidity within the space increase to levels unsuitable for the crawlspace environment.

With the Cleanspace liner in place with caulking and tape to completely seal the area, and a TripleSafe sump pump to remove any resulting water, we will be able to spray Mold-X2 cleaner to eliminate the mold staining and visual evidence as well as killing 99.99% of germs on the surface.
