In this Lewisville, NC home, the homeowners were experiencing major standing water and poor surface drainage in the front yard. Water frequently collected near the foundation and landscaping, causing soggy soil, erosion, and increased moisture concerns around the home. Our team identified that the yard did not have a proper way to channel water away from the property, which can lead to long-term structural and moisture issues if left unaddressed.
To solve this, our crew installed a surface drain and a buried discharge line to give water a dedicated path away from the home. After excavating the problem area, we positioned a durable catch basin at the low point and tied it into a PVC drainage line that directs runoff away from the foundation. Once the system was secured, everything was carefully backfilled, leveled, and prepped so it can naturally blend back into the homeowner’s yard. This new drainage system will help prevent pooling, protect the foundation, and keep the lawn healthier year-round.
Water seepage was in every wall of this basement. The interior sump pump system we installed waterproofs the basement from the inside and works seamlessly against the walls and floor.
Our interior waterproofing saved the finished walls from water, mold, and rot damage by collecting intruding water and sending it away from the home.
This beautiful, finished basement had a silent killer. Water leakage behind the finished wall was raising the humidity, causing mold growth, and occasionally leaking into the basement area. To save this room we had to perform a little demo to waterproof the room properly, but now the basement can be finished without concern for water damage.
Kent from Advance, NC contacted Carolina Basement Systems because he was having a problem with his wet crawl space. The company installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier and CleanSpace vapor barrier system. This solution helped to solve the problem by creating a dry environment that prevented mold and rot.
