Basement Systems of New York was contacted by this homeowner to have us bring her steps and porch back to level and true. As you can see below her front steps and porch are unlevel, and leaning. These two issues were both an eyesore and a tremendous hazard to the homeowner and all that stepped foot on them.
To correct the problems at hand we had to strategically drill our 5/8th pilot holes throughout the steps and porch, we then implemented our PolyLevel system to make sure that we filled the voids properly to bring the stairs as level as we could to their concrete and to fill the voids that created the separation and leaning that was occurring. We then installed a small amount of concrete to offset for the remainder of leveling that needed to occur to make their stairs and concrete level, the little bit of truing that needed to occur could not be accomplished with more PolyLevel as the amount that needed to be finished was due to how the stairs were leaning.
By using these two methods of leveling we were able to bring the homeowners' porch and stairs back to level and true with their house and front yard. This ultimately has allowed them the ability to remove the humendous eyesore and hazard from their home and has allowed them to regain peace of mind about friends, family and other setting foot on their property.
Our team was tasked with getting this discharge line out of the home after a complete waterproofing system was put in place. The best path for the discharge line was through the driveway. Our crew installed the discharge and put everything back together better than new, and now they have a dry basement. This is not a before and after but it is a durring and after, Great work team!!
This homeowner contacted us due to water issues in their basement and structural problems in both the basement and crawl space. To address these concerns, we implemented a comprehensive solution:
Water Intrusion: We tackled water intrusion caused by hydrostatic pressure by installing our FlowGuard waterproofing system along the basement's perimeter. This system was seamlessly connected to our lateral system, reducing the water's path to our SuperSump equipped with laterals.
Crawl Space Division: To prevent mud, sand, dirt, and debris from interfering with the waterproofing system, we injected our PolyLevel product behind the wall separating the crawl space and basement. This critical step ensured the proper functioning of the waterproofing system.
Structural Restoration: To rectify structural issues, we temporarily supported the house and replaced improperly installed screw jacks. We installed a new main girder and strengthened the deteriorating floor joists. The installation of our SmartJack system further enhanced the home's structural integrity, as it was positioned with precise spacing.
Crawl Space Enhancement: As a final touch, we enhanced the crawl space by applying a drain mat and CleanSpace. Despite the already dry nature of the crawl space with no water issues, this encapsulation system ensures dust-free and properly conditioned crawl space and subsequently improved air quality throughout the home.
The homeowners expressed their utmost satisfaction with the project's results. They are particularly relieved that their peace of mind has been restored and are pleased with their decision to invest in the long-term well-being of their home
The Turtle Hatch, is perfect for creating a secure access into your crawl space. It is efficient, aesthetically pleasing, and most of all safer. This system was installed in Eldred, New York.
These homeowners called Basement Systems of New York to evaluate their block foundation to see why they were continually taking on water in their basement even though they supposedly had a french drain installed.
Upon our Specialist finishing his inspection he noted that the reason why they were having issues with water penetrating their home was twofold. Specifically that they were experiencing hydrostatic pressure coming up through the floor of their basement, as well as the french drain that had been installed by a previous company was not installed properly and was not doing it job.
To take care of the issues at hand we started by removing the perimeter of their concrete slab to make way for our WaterGuard below slab waterproofing system with laterals with our SuperSump Plus sump pump system. After completing this we then moved on to installing four of our SmartJack support systems with new footings to properly support their sinking home. We then proceeded to apply drain mat to the floor and our CleanSpace vapor barrier to their walls before pouring our new slab. Finally to finish their basement off once our concrete fully dried we installed our Basementaire dehumidification system.
From start to finish these homeowners could not believe the quality of workmanship as well the level of professionalism they received throughout their project. Since installing our waterproofing system they have not experienced any water in their home, a reduction in health issues, but more importantly than anything to them peace of mind.
