A homeowner in Windham, New Hampshire, bought their home about 3 years ago. They were planning on selling the home in the coming months but wanted to address a crack that had been growing in the last 6 months. The homeowners reached out to EFS for a free inspection of their garage foundation. Our Design Specialist found that the foundation was bowing and recommended installing 8 Geolocks around the back and right side of the garage.
In the before photo, taken in Windham, NH, you can see the issues caused by cinderblocks failing to support a home's foundation, as they had sunk into the soil. Fortunately, Erickson Foundation Solutions provided a permanent remedy by installing our Helical Pier system, effectively relocating the load from unstable soils to stable ground. By attaching a block of wood to the piers under the siding, we ensured lasting stability for the home. Our expert intervention safeguards the homeowner's asset, maintaining property value and enhancing overall quality of life.
In Windham, NH, a homeowner faced an inadequate foundation due to wooden supports and rusted lally columns, putting their new home’s structural integrity at risk. As seen in the before photo. Erickson Foundation Solutions resolved this by installing our innovative SmartJack® System. This system effectively stabilized the crawl space beams and floor joists, as shown in the after photo. Our engineered solution included galvanized steel columns anchored on a solid base, now providing substantial and lasting support. This ensured the stability and safety – aligning perfectly with our mission.
These photos are in the crawlspace of a home where the ground was shifting, which resulted in the home sinking 1.5". The before photo shows the old column that needed to be replaced. The after photo views the new SmartJacks that were installed to stabilize the home forever.
This older foundation on a home in Derry, NH was part stone and part concrete. The stone parts were crumbling and allowing for soil to be pouring into the basement area. The overall stability of the wall was poor, and so Erickson installed an auxillary wall along with some PowerBraces to fully stabilize the wall and clean up the look of the basement.
