A homeowner in Nashua, New Hampshire is looking to finish his basement. Leakage in the foundation was fairly minimal for the first 15 years of living in the home, but seepage has become a big issue over the past year. The homeowner is looking to waterproof the basement before finishing it to ensure that it will be protected. This led him to reach out to our Erickson team.
After scheduling an appointment through our Customer Care team, our Design Specialist Bryan Barnard went out to the home to offer a free inspection. He recommended installing WaterGuard perimeter drainage, TripleSafe sump pump system, and SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to waterproof the basement. The WaterGuard perimeter drainage system collects water along the border of the foundation footing without coming into contact with the basement walls or floor. This system then delivers the water to a basin that is made in the foundation. The TripleSafe sump pump system rests in that basin and connects to the WaterGuard system to pump the water out of the home. Once installed, these systems are cemented in place. An exterior drainage line is connected to the TripleSafe to allow the water to be pumped safely out of the home. The SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier is then installed to the TripleSafe to reduce moisture and provide healthy air to create a comfortable living space.
With the waterproofing system in place, this homeowner can create his dream finished basement with peace of mind that it will remain dry!

This homeowner in Nashua, New Hampshire, was experiencing some sagging on the main level of their home. In their basement, they have some lally columns supporting the main beam then they have some 2x6 pieces of wood supporting another beam. They were looking to replace the pieces of wood with actual supports. Design Specialist David Cormier came to the home and inspected the basement and confirmed that they should replace the wooden supports for more advanced structural supports. He proposed to the homeowners installing SmartJacks. Crew Lead Nick Carelli and his crew installed two SmartJacks where the wooden supports were.
