Just like a vehicle, routine maintenance of your sump pump will help ensure that it continues to function properly for years and years. In this instance, the homeowner had never serviced their waterproofing system after installation, and eventually the pump failed when they needed it most. Iron ochre deposits due to water quality in the area had built up and compromised the pump, which we cleaned during our inspection and repair visit. A little precaution goes a long way!
This homeowner had cracked and leaking walls in their basement. To fix this, we installed our WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System and CleanSpace! Now there will no longer be water in his basement!
This homeowner wanted to keep his basement dry because his family wanted to use the space as their family room, however, the floors were always damp. After hearing about our reputation in the area, he decided we had the solution for his family, so he gave us a call.
We sent System Design Specialist Travis Hickman to inspect the source of this moisture and seal it from entering the home. Travis found that moisture was seeping in through the basement floor which was causing the damp flooring. Our team knew the simple solution to this problem, so they installed a diagonal lateral underneath the basement floor.
The homeowner was at peace because his family could have a dry family room now. Check out the installation!
This homeowner's home was struck by a lightning storm, which knocked out her power for her sump pump, and her backup system in her basement. She had us install he sump pump over 10 years ago, so she decided to give us a call and see what we could do to fix this problem.
We had Service Technician Brad Metzger go to this homeowner's home and determine what went wrong when the power had gone out. Brad found that when the lighting struck the home, it not only knocked out the power, but it fried the backup battery so that it was no longer holding a charge. When he found this, he was shocked because of how unique and rare this situation was. Despite his surprise, Brad started working right away to fix this problem by installing a new primary pump, a new backup pump, and a new backup battery system. After he installed these, he tested them to ensure that everything, including the backup, was working properly.
The homeowner was so happy that her problem was solved and that she doesn't have to worry about water issues in her basement. Check out the homeowner's new sump pump solutions!
A cracked basement wall had become an access point for water in this home, and the homeowners were tired of the headache of finding water in their basement, storage area and workshop space. Fortunately, Thrasher was able to help, installing our WaterGuard drainage system along the effected walls, vapor barrier on the walls to keep the area clean and dry while diverting moisture into the drainage system, and a new sump pump to direct the water away from the home.
