Carolyn J. is a proud homeowner in Sprague, NE, and was concerned with the amount of settlement a concrete slab had on her front walkway. With the colder seasons approaching, she didn’t want the sunken slab to become a potential tripping hazard for her or her guests. Carolyn has utilized our home repair solutions before, and she didn’t hesitate to reach out this time for her sunken concrete.

System Design Specialist Caleb Spradlin arrived in Sprague, NE, and inspected the problematic area. The slab had settled over an inch, so Carolyn opted to have us install our 2-Part Concrete Protection System to lift, level, and seal the sunken slab. Our crew began by injecting our PolyLevel foam underneath the slab to permanently level the surface and then caulked all cracks and control joints with the NexusPro joint sealer.

Longtime homeowner Kevin K. noticed that the driveway and front step concrete was settling and becoming a trip hazard. Worried for his family’s safety, he wanted to get the concrete settlement fixed. He has had previous work done with Thrasher and decided to bring us back out for concrete repair.

We sent System Design Specialist Scott Wyman out to the home. Scott was able to see that the front sidewalk leading up to the home had dropped about 4 inches and spots in the driveway were also sinking and cracking. The soil on the sidewalks and underneath had also washed away. The team used PolyLevel to lift the front sidewalk by 4 inches and fix the driveway. Kevin was impressed with the how well the concrete repair turned out.

This sinking concrete was causing a tripping hazard leading up to the home for this homeowner. PolyLevel foam was used to lift and fill the void under the falling slab raising the concrete back level and creating a safe walkway. We then used NexusPro joint sealant to seal the joints on the sidewalk preventing this from happening again and giving the sidewalk a new clean look!
