This homeowner was very concerned because of his older home's walls starting to show signs of failure. He knew of our reputation and the variety of solutions we can offer for foundation repair, so he decided to give us a call.
We sent System Design Specialist Daniel Capul to inspect the foundation walls and determine what solution would be best to fix this homeowner's walls. Daniel found that one wall was particularly problematic as it was completely crumbling and starting to cave in. He knew that he needed to move quickly to help this homeowner to prevent total wall failure or collapse, so he talked to the homeowner to schedule a quick turnaround installation appointment. Our installation team came out and utilized the EverBrace System to protect against any other damage as well as stabilize the foundation once again.
The homeowner was so happy that one of his walls was stabilized so he can ensure his family stays safe. He even reached out to have us stabilize his other walls in the near future. Check out the newly installed EverBrace System transformation!
As you can see, this wall had some structural issues. Our team got onsite and was able to close up the crack by permanently stabilizing the foundation!
After noticing damage to the brick façade of the houses exterior during our inspection, we ruled out settlement as the cause and found that failing walls behind the finished walls in the basement were the root cause of the water problem this homeowner was experiencing. Water had found its way into the basement through gaps created by the shearing walls, allowing mold and rot to flourish in the damp, dark environment.
Using a combination of PowerBrace beams, a wall anchor and our EverBrace wall support system, we were able to stabilize the basement walls. To resolve the water issue, we installed our WaterGuard interior drainage system along with a sump pump system and vapor barrier to redirected water out of the home. We also installed a SaniDry dehumidifier to resolve the high humidity in the basement.
This home's walls in the room below the stoop are made of red brick and they're experiencing severe deterioration. There are very large cracks and the main support beam is sagging. To prevent complete wall failure from damaging the home, we installed EverBrace on three walls in the stoop room and four SupportJacks to the support beam. EverBrace acts like a new foundation wall so the homeowner won't have to worry about the brick anymore!
