Longtime homeowners Dan & Lois T have had problems with their concrete and noticed it was getting worse. Looking for a long-term solution that required minimum work down the road, they decided to give us a call.
We sent System Design Specialist Jesse White out to their home. He was able to find a solution. The team installed push piers on the two exposed foundation walls and installed power braces on the basement walls. To level the concrete, we used PolyLevel and lifted the concrete back up to the original spot. Dan and Lois were very pleased with the project and how helpful the crew was in explaining everything that went on and cleaning up once the work was done.
This customer's home had cracked and bowing walls in their basement. This was caused by freezing water around the foundation pressing against the walls.
We were able to prevent any further falling of the wall with our wall anchors and straightened the walls back with our powerbraces.
This rental property owner was worried because this rental home he was currently renting to college students was showing signs of damage. There were cracks in the walls in the basement, and there are bedrooms in the basement, so the owner wanted to ensure that his tenants were safe when living in his rental property. This owner had previously hired our services for his other properties, so he decided to give us a call for this property.
We sent Service Technician Spencer Johnson to inspect the property's foundation and basement to determine what was causing these wall cracks to appear. Spencer found that one of the foundation walls was leaning inwards, to the point where the brick siding was breaking and splitting from the home. He also saw there there were cracks in the wall from the severe deflection of this siding more than likely all caused by street creep. After discussing solutions with the owner and determining an installation time, our team got to work installing PowerBraces to reinforce the wall and move it back to its original position over time. The team also installed Compression Guards on the driveway to act as a buffer against street creep.
The rental property owner was very pleased with the work that was done on his property. Check out how the PowerBraces have supported the wall!
This home in Seward, NE was having some major foundation problems. Team Leader, Mike, and his crew installed 12 push piers to the side of this home. Push pier systems utilize high-strength round steel tube sections and a load transfer bracket to stabilize and lift sinking or settling foundations, which is what happened at this house.
In Seward, NE, a local church had a bowing wall in the basement. They didn't want the issue to get worse as they store items and have meetings in the rooms adjacent to that wall. A few of the members of the church had used Thrasher before, and so they had us out to see how we could help them. System Design Specialist, Joe Dearth, came out, did an inspection, and found there was expansive soil with little access to sunlight that was causing hydrostatic pressure. Eventually, this pressure was strong enough to force the wall inward.
To solve this issue, Thrasher installed 12 PowerBraces with different brackets to support the floor joists. Once installed, the PowerBraces can be tightened to straighten the wall back out. Check out the before and after of this project!
