The homeowners wanted to start storing things in their crawl space. There crawl space was so dirty they thought there could be snakes or mice in there. They called us and wanted us to come out and fix them problem. We encapsulated the crawl space so they could store boxes of things in the crawl space. The encapsulation also will help with mold and mildew. 

Homeowner Tiffany T. started to notice mold and water issues in the basement. She had major concerns about how this would not only impact her home but the foundation as well. Having had Thrasher Foundation Repair come out to her home before, she decided to give us another call.

Service Technician Brandon Rost went out to Tiffany’s home. He was able to identify that mold was forming on the interior walls and a section of foundation wall was failing.  To stabilize the failing foundation wall the crew installed a PowerBraces. We encapsulated and waterproofed the entire basement with CleanSpace and WaterGaurd. To help keep the humidity levels down we also installed a Sedona SaniDry Dehumidifier.

Mold can be one of the worst things to happen to a home, and, it doesn't need much to grow. In a dark damp environment, mold can grow after 24 hours. This is why it's important to ensure that your home is able to keep water out of your basement.

For this home, we were able to install CleanSpace, which involves the installation of a durable vapor barrier that completely seals off the crawl space from outside elements. This multi-layered liner, made of heavy-duty material, acts as a moisture barrier, preventing the intrusion of water vapor, mold, mildew, and pests into the crawl space. CleanSpace encapsulation helps to maintain a clean and dry environment, improving indoor air quality, reducing the risk of mold growth, and enhancing the overall structural integrity of the home. 

This homeowner called Midwest Foundation Repair to inspect a problem they have when it rains, a leaking basement. Water would seep in through the cinder block walls during the rainy season.  The production team installed an interior waterproofing system and then placed clean space on the walls. In the after photo, you can see the clean space on the walls and wet concrete that needs to cure. Once cured the homeowner will have a dry basement, our warranties are transferrable to the new homeowner if they choose to ever move. Midwest Care Club is recommended, so annually the system can be flushed out and cleaned by a trained service tech. 

These customers both work at home and have plans to build an office in their basement. Before they can embark on that project, they must waterproof their basement, as water occasionally leaks in through the floor. We came in and installed WaterGuard and CleanSpace around the exterior perimeter of the basement running to a sump pump. Additionally, we installed IceGuard, a solution to clogged and frozen discharge lines. Now the basement is ready to be turned into a great workspace!
