Waterproofing An Old Farmhouse Basement In Jackson, MI

Richard had his hands full as water was seeping into his basement all along the edges of the wall. After dealing with the problems long enough, Richard decided to call Ayers, looking for waterproofing products. A System Design Specialist with Ayers went to the home for a thorough inspection. The team at Ayers concluded from the assessment that a couple of different waterproofing measures would be best for the home. While a sump pump was already present, it wasn't doing the job well enough. Thus, TripleSafe was installed, a sump pump system that houses two powerful pumps with the same liner. The lowest pump in the liner runs all the time and is very efficient. In the case of a problem with the first pump, the second pump will turn on and begin pumping water out of the home. In the case of a power outage, the secondary pump is attached to an external battery to run with no electricity. The TripleSafe sump pump will work great in pumping any water out of Richards's basement!

Egress Window Transforms Basement Space in Jackson, MI

Casandra called Ayers because she was interested in getting an Egress Window installed. We had our customer care team set up an appointment time that worked for her and the installation process began. Egress Windows are perfect for basements, especially if you're looking to finish this area as they are larger which allows for more natural light to fill the space. They are waterproof and allow for a quick, easy exit in emergency situations.

Casandra was happy with the final result as this Egress Window transformed her basement space into a regular living area!

TripleSafe Eliminates Worries of Jackson, MI Homeowner

Richard was looking to waterproof his basement as various issues concerned him. Richard decided to contact Ayers and set up an inspection of his home. The team at Ayers concluded from a review that water was leaking into the house through the foundation. Richard opted to have various products installed, yet one, in particular, was the TripleSafe. While Richard had a sump pump present before, it could have done its job better! Thus, TripleSafe was installed, which houses three pumps within one-liner for maximum precautions against water! TripleSafe will efficiently pump water out of the home even during a power outage! Richard was thrilled with Ayers's job as he no longer needed to worry about water issues!

CleanSpace and SilverGlo Walls Save a Damp Hudson, MI Crawl Space

These Hudson, MI customers were in the middle of a serious remodel. The groundwater around their home was causing a host of problems to the basement and crawl space. In an effort to save their lower levels from a watery grave, they had excavated the worst areas, added in a drainage system to the basement, and filled in as many of the leaking cracks as they could. The plan seemed to have worked for the basement, but the constant dampness had really affected the crawl space, as seen in the before photo. Not only were the floor joists starting to rot, the insulation was also coming down. That’s when the crew introduced the customers to our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier System. Dirt floors allow moisture easy access to the crawl space, but with the CleanSpace system covering both the floors and the bottom portion of the walls, there is no entryway for moisture.

As you can see in the after photo, CleanSpace wasn’t the only product we installed. The SilverGlo Wall Panels will act as insulation and create another barrier that keeps leaking water from coming through the walls. With neither walls nor floor allowing water inside, this crawl space won’t have any more trouble with dampness.

CleanSpace Encapsulation and New Drainage System Save East Lansing Crawl Space

A low point where the sun porch met the foundation of this home was causing water to pool and leak into the crawl space. Leaks can cause problems ranging from mold to an unstable foundation, so it was important to reroute the water and waterproof the crawl space.

40 feet of drain tile and a new chimney drain took care of the existing leak. Then we installed the CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system with drainage matting and SilverGlo insulation to keep the crawl space dry and even create some usable storage space.
