A homeowner wanted his basement completely sealed off so he called our team. We insulated his rim joists in order to cut off the flow of air and moisture to the rest of his home. Seams and small cracks are common around your rim joists so it is important to seal them off when encapsulating your crawl sapce. 

Rob called our team because he wanted to prevent his basement from flooding even during the cold Michigan winters. So our team installed the IceGuard Sump Pump Discharge Line System. This system allows water to leave even when the discharge line is frozen. Therefore, this system prevents flooding even in freezing temperatures or when the snow is piled up high. Lastly, this system is totally automatic so Rob won’t have to worry about when he should turn it on or off. 

Andrew had Pooling water and humidity wreaking havoc on his basement. He needed a system that would take care of both so our team came out and installed CleanSpace, SuperSump Plus Sump Pump, and IcceGuard Discharge Line. Here we can see the CleanSpace transformation. CleanSpace is an uninterrupted vapor barrier designed to keep out any unwanted pests, moisture, and mold. This barrier restricts airflow and therefore makes controlling the temperature of the home much easier. CleanSpace is applied to the floors and walls and wrapped around pillars and piers carefully to ensure that the space looks clean and refreshed. CleanSpace is especially important to this job because Andrew had a dirt floor crawl space which contributes greatly to moisture and humidity in the air. Now with CleanSpace, all of that will be restricted and Andrew won’t have to worry about it.

Jami realized her basement lacked a reliable escape route and wanted to install a larger window. She wasn't sure how to fix it herself, so she researched her options and called Ayers for help. Our experts visited her home and recommended installing an egress window to provide easy escapes during emergencies. Egress windows hold back soil and water while preventing surface falls, with a polycarbonate safety cover. The cover is also built to be stepped on without collapsing, to increase safety. Jami feels safe in her basement now!
