When this homeowner decided to sell his rental property, he knew that the basement could use an uplift. The walls had been leaking, and the water damage was beginning to show on the stone blocks. He wanted to make sure the walls were rid of mold, but with the house going on the market so soon, a total wall replacement seemed a bit excessive.
Our BrightWall system provided this Grand Rapids, MI home with everything it was missing without the price or time of installing a new foundation. Once the mold was removed, BrightWall panels were able to be put in place on top of the stone walls, so there was no invasive or lengthy installation. The panels are made of inorganic, rigid plastic, meaning mold will have to look elsewhere if it wants to grow in this basement. BrightWall is more than just a looker, it’s the perfect waterproofing compliment for the perimeter drainage system that was also installed. If any water does leak in, the two systems will work together - with water flowing behind the BrightWall panels and into the WaterGuard drainage system sitting below - to collect and direct the water out. We’re guessing that the waterproofing and clean look will make selling this house all the easier.
Pat had an existing egress window in her basement. She wanted to have it extended and made larger. We extended her window by installing our EverLast egress window. The Everlast windows are made of all vinyl and are energy-efficient, don’t let wind in, and are rot and mold resistant.
Chad M. needed to address the leaks in his basement that eventually led to standing water in one of the basement corners. That water led to the growth of mold which concerned the family. After we installed a WaterGuard system around the perimeter of the basement to capture water entering the basement, Chad decided to also add an egress window. These windows bring light into the basement, provide a safe way to egress a basement during an emergency and they are correctly sealed to keep cold outside air out.
Diane needed new discharge lines installed after she had decided to waterproof her home with Ayers! Diane opted to have the LawnScape Outlet installed for its benefits. The outlet sits flush with the lawn ensuring that it is out of sight and does not cause an issue for things like mowing the lawn! Diane was thrilled with how everything turned out!
Pete was sick of worrying about the crack in his concrete wall that was in his basement. He called Ayers for solutions and we had a crew come to his home for an inspection where it was determined he needed FlexiSpan. This will seal up this small crack in the wall and is a great option if you don't want to pay for a full wall remodel. The crew starts with sealing the crack with a flexible sealant and then a drainage layer is added in case water did end up permeating the membrane, it would flow down the original wall out of sight. The water would then enter the drainage system located below the FlexiSpan and this is covered with concrete.
Pete was grateful to get this wall crack repaired quickly and efficiently!
