In Jesup, Iowa, a homeowner preparing to sell their property hit an unexpected snag during real estate negotiations: an improper basement water discharge setup. To satisfy buyer requests and ensure a smooth transaction, System Design Specialist Shawn Conaway evaluated the basement's water management needs and designed a reliable, high-capacity discharge rerouting strategy.

Foreman Jacob Oetzman and crew members Antonio, Devin B., and Nathan B. mobilized to execute the installation. The team installed a comprehensive sump pump package featuring the high-performance SuperSump® System combined with the battery-powered UltraSump® Backup System through MidAmerica Basement Systems.

Jacob and the crew set up the primary SuperSump pump to handle high-volume water evacuation, discharging it through a newly rerouted, code-compliant exterior line. To guarantee continuous protection during heavy storms or municipal power outages, the team integrated the UltraSump battery backup system. The completed installation provided an efficient, reliable water management system that satisfied the prospective buyer and gave both parties complete peace of mind during the home sale.

Terry and Joyce of Vinton, IA contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems because they had water coming into their basement. After meeting with design specialist Mac McDaniel, a solution was designed to keep their basement dry. The solution includes patented sub-floor drainage system, WaterGuard, two TripleSafe Sump Pumps, and BrightWall, to name a few. Homeowner Wayne has lived in his 1980's home since it was built. He was interested in PolyLevel technology that  MidAmerica Basement Systems offers. They wanted the project to be completed quickly and done with care. The PolyLevel is a foam that is injected under the concrete slab and lifts and levels. The PolyLevel and hardens and expands under the slab to bring it back to its former place.
