A home in Champaign, Illinois, needed some stabilizing. Cracks were starting to appear in the interior walls of the basement and action was needed to prevent the problem from getting worse. Woods came in and installed the Push Pier System. This system will permanently stabilize the home's settling foundation and in many cases, raise it back up. Engineered steel tube sections are driven through steel foundation brackets, past unstable soils, to the solid bedrock beneath it. This will transfer the home's weight evenly on solid ground, rather than the unstable soils supporting it previously. With this installation in place, this home is sure to stay solid for many years to come.
A basement in Champaign, Illinois, needed some stabilizing work done. The foundation piers were starting to show signs of failure and needed to be addressed. Woods came out and installed the PowerBrace System to stabilize the basement. The PowerBrace System consists of zinc-plated steel beams custom fit to the basement height. They are secured to the wall and floor and are anchored to the support beams that hold up the floor. This system can be tightened over time, allowing for adjustments to prevent wall failure. With this installation in place, this basement is sure to stay secure for many years to come.
A crawlspace in Champaign, Illinois, needed some stabilization work completed. The floor joists above were starting to sag, indicating that the foundation was starting to fail. Woods came in and installed the SmartJack System to add more support. This system consists of custom-cut steel beams. They are placed in galvanized fill to equally distribute the weight of the building. They can be tightened over time. This allows maintenance to be done as the ground continues to shift without requiring another costly install. With this install in place, this home will be sturdy for many years into the future.
