Your basement is an open hole, naturally the earth and water around it want ot fill the hole. This hyrdostatic pressure can wreck the foundation, especially the walls. This pressure can cause cracks and lead to leaks and even more serious issues. We have several ways to help keep your walls sturdy. 

This homeowner needed a little extra wall support and waterproofing in his basement. Team Woods developed and installed the perfect solution for his needs. 

A foundation was cracking in Sullivan, IL, causing concern for the homeowners. To prevent any issues from happening, the PowerBrace System was installed. This will permanently stabilize the foundation and prevent any inward movement. This will also reverse the effects of wall failure, straightening the walls to their original position and closing the cracks to prevent water leakage. This foundation will remain stable and restore peace of mind for years to come!

Sinking foundations are a homeowner’s nightmare. If the problem is not fixed soon then it can get worse, fast. That’s why Dan and Verma S called Woods Basements Systems. System Design Specialist Brandon B was able to come up with a plan for them.

Foreman Joshua B installed a SmartJack under the sinking portion of the house. A SmartJack is a device that will take the weight of the house and prevent it from sinking any further. 

Kelly H was concerned when she noticed that her basement walls were beginning to bow. So, she decided to call Woods Basement Systems. System Design Specialist Brandon B was able to come up with a solution to the problem.

Foreman Jose L installed a Geo-Lock Wall Anchor, shown above, in Kelly’s basement. The Wall Anchor has two ends, one will attach to the basement walls. The device can be tightened and overtime will be able to straighten the walls.

Kathy P. of Flora, Illinois noticed that a few walls in her home's basement were cracking and bowing. She did not want the problem to get worse, so she called Woods Basement Systems for help.

Design specialist Jacob K. assessed the situation and decided that the perfect solution was to install wall anchors. Foreman Jeremy R. then traveled to the home to get the job started. The steel wall anchors, pictured above, extend from the inside walls of the home to the hard packed soil outside. These anchors help prevent further movement and stabilize the walls.

Kathy P. no longer has to worry about the walls in her home cracking and bowing. She now has stable and safe basement walls.
