A foundation was bowing inward in Mount Vernon, Il, causing large cracks to appear. These cracks were leaking water, which was causing damage to the basement. To solve these issues, the PowerBrace System was first installed. This will permanently stabilize the foundation and eliminate any further inward movement. This will also reverse the effects of wall failure, straightening the walls to their original position and closing the cracks to prevent water leakage. Next, the CleanSpace Basement Wall System was installed. This will prevent water vapor from permeating the basement walls and drain any leaks down to the WaterGuard System. This perimeter drainage system will catch wall seepage and drain it toward the TripleSafe Sump Pump System, which will drain water from WaterGuard and below the basement and discharge it out of the house. Thanks to these systems, this basement will remain dry, clean, and stable for years to come!
When Ron M discovered that his basement walls were bending he knew he needed to do something. That’s why he called Woods Basement System. A System Design Specialist was able to come up with a solution to the problem.
Foreman Jeremy R installed the GeoLock Wall Anchors pictured above. One side of the anchor attaches to ground away from the house, and the other attaches to the basement walls. It will then pull the walls back into place.
Water damage can be extremely detrimental to walls by breaking them down and causing them to fail. This homeowner was very concerned about the stability of her home and requested for Woods Basement Systems to secure her failing walls. Team Woods installed Geo-Lock wall anchors to permanently lock and position the walls in a safe and sturdy state.
Rex and Angela M were concerned when they noticed that their basement walls were bowing. So, they decided to call Woods Basement Systems. System Design Specialist Paul B was able to come up with a solution to the problem.
The Geo-Lock Wall Anchor, shown above, has one end that attaches to a stable level of soil away from the house and the other end will attach to the basement walls, the device can be tightened which will straighten the walls over time.
Support blocks were sinking in a crawlspace in Marion, IL, causing the floors above to sink. To solve this issue, the SmartJack System was installed. This will stabilize the beams and floor joists in the crawlspace and lift the floor above it back toward its original elevation. Floor bounce caused by weakened joists or excessive spans will also be reduced. This crawlspace will now remain stable for years to come!
