As homes age and foundations shift, basement walls often start to crack and bow inward. Although cracks themselves are not hugely concerning, they can lead to serious problems, from water leaks to collapsing walls. This Wildwood, Missouri homeowner wanted to head off his cracking issues before they got any worse, so he called Woods Basement Systems. A Woods team installed several incredibly strong PowerBrace beams flush against the surface of the walls to totally prevent bowing, cracking, and collapse. The homeowner no longer needs to worry!
After years of foundation settlement, this homeowner's basement walls were cracked and damaged. To reinforce the damaged walls, Team Woods' foreman, Bradley M., led his team in installing Geo-Lock wall anchors to support and secure the foundation.
Before, this home was experiencing cracking inside and outside. Foundation cracks might start small, but they widen and deepen over time! Team Woods stopped the foundation settlement by installing push piers into the footing of the home. Push piers are used to lift and lock the foundation back into its original position to prevent the foundation from settling.
Before, this basement wall was moving and needed to be secured to prevent structural damage. Team Woods solved this issue by installing Geo-Lock wall anchors from the outside and anchoring them inside to the basement wall. With the help of these anchors, the wall is now secure and stable.
A foundation was cracking in Ballwin, MO, and water was leaking out of them and pooling onto the floor. To solve this issue, the PowerBrace System was first installed. This will permanently stabilize the foundation and eliminate any further inward movement. This will also reverse the effects of wall failure, straightening the walls to their original position and closing the cracks to prevent water leakage. The CleanSpace Basement Wall System was also installed. This will prevent water vapor from permeating the basement walls. The white color will also brighten the basement, reflecting the light. Thanks to these systems, this basement will remain stable and dry for years to come!
