Debra and Tim G. of Thebes, Illinois were troubled by their wet, musty crawlspace. The water seepage caused mold, an allergen. CleanSpace was installed to keep the water out of the crawlspace. Because it is an inorganic vapor barrier, it does not support mold growth.

The crawl space of Don M.’s Rochester, IL home was damp. He couldn’t use it for storage without fear of water damage so he called Woods Basement Systems. Woods recommended a crawl space encapsulation system.

As part of that system, Woods secured CleanSpace along the floors and part of the walls in the crawl space. CleanSpace is a thick and durable plastic moisture barrier that prevents ground water from entering the crawl space, making it safe for storage.

A crawlspace was not properly insulated in Rochester, IL, and moisture was seeping into it, creating more problems. To solve these issues, SilverGlo Insulation Panels were first installed. This features a radiant barrier infused with graphite, so the heat is reflected into the crawlspace, saving energy. Next, the CleanSpace Encapsulation System was installed. This will completely isolate the crawlspace from the earth, dramatically reducing the humidity level. This will also eliminate mold growth and make the whole house healthier.
