This Imperial, Missouri basement remained unfinished and was primarily used for storage until Spring 2020. The homeowners worked with our Total Basement Finishing Design Specialist, Frank Unger, to layout an all-new floorplan for the basement. And that's when the transformation began.
These homeowners had already put down their own flooring, but wanted to have the walls done as well. Our specialist knew wood studs, fiberglass insulation, and drywall can spell disaster in the event of a leak or high humidity. So, Woods Basement Systems framed the basement with metal studs and finished the walls with the inorganic EverLast Basement Wall Panels, made from 2 1/2-inch thick rigid foam insulation with 1/2-inch thick cement board cladding. The cement board is finished with an off-white vinyl surface treatment.
What was once a cold, bare, and dark unfinished basement used only for storage is now a beautifully-finished, warm, and bright basement playroom and sewing room. What a transformation!
Phyllis B. of Florissant, MO had water leaking into her basement and ruining her finished walls. She was tired of the mess so she called Woods Basement Systems for a free assessment. Woods recommended installing a waterproofing system and restoring the bottom halves of her walls.
As shown in the pictures below, Woods replaced the old, damaged wood paneling and frames on the bottom halves of Phyllis's finished walls and restored them with EverLast Wall Panelling. EverLast Wall Paneling is mold and moisture resistant and is more durable than the wood framed walls it replaced. It also keeps the upper have away from water, preventing it from any future damage.
Phyllis B. is thrilled with her new finished walls and knowing that water won't create anymore messes in her finished basement.
Woods Basement Systems previously installed WaterGuard, TripleSafe, IceGuard, and a SaniDry System in Liz's Brentwood basement. She later contacted Woods to install CleanSpace as well as touch up other waterproofing needs.
Nadine and Delester C. of St. Louis, MO. had water damage to the dry wall in their basement. Woods Basement Systems removed the damaged dry wall, and installed the WaterGuard waterproofing system, as well as restored the wall with the EverLast Finished Wall.
The damaged drywall in this Godfrey, IL basement was unappealing to look at, and homeowners needed a solution. Woods Basement Systems determined to install EverLast Wall to replace the damaged drywall and protect the basement from water damage. EverLast is resistant to mold and mildew and guess what? It will dry if it were to ever come into contact with water.
