In this customer's crawl space, the E-Z Flow Drainage System was installed in order to collect water and drain it to the sump pump system.
In Austell, Georgia, a homeowner approached us at Atlanta Basement Systems with significant concerns about their crawl space. Their crawl space was plagued by mold, wood rot, and overwhelming humidity, affecting both the integrity of their home and the well-being of its occupants. Upon receiving their call, our Customer Care Specialist promptly scheduled an inspection. Following the initial contact, one of our capable System Design Specialists, Thomas, conducted an exhaustive evaluation. The diagnosis confirmed high moisture levels leading to mold growth and wood rot. To address these issues, we confidently recommended a comprehensive solution that included the SuperSump sump pump, the CleanSpace encapsulation system, and the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier.
Our experienced production team swiftly mobilized to implement these solutions. First, we installed the SuperSump system, designed to handle potential water intrusion efficiently, thus maintaining a dry and safe environment beneath the home. Next, we added the CleanSpace vapor barrier. This 20-mil reinforced liner is UV-resistant and guards against further mold growth by sealing out moisture completely. Finally, the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was installed to maintain optimal humidity levels. As the most powerful system of its size, it works effectively to prevent mold reappearance while improving indoor air quality and reducing overall energy costs.
Upon completion of the repairs, the troublesome crawl space was transformed into a dry, stable, and healthy section of the home. The homeowner noticed an improvement in air quality and a reduction in associated health irritations. Most importantly, the structural integrity of their home was preserved. At Atlanta Basement Systems, we’re committed to delivering reliable, lasting solutions for crawl space challenges, underlining our mission to provide a remarkable customer experience.
This customer was needing a full vapor barrier and SilverGlo installation in their crawl space, to keep out moisture and humidity. Moisture and humidity is not wanted in a crawl space, because it can lead to mold, wood rot, and structural issues. It also allows low quality air to filter throughout the home, and this can cause the family in the home to deal with health issues. Juan and his crew went out to the home, and installed the vapor barrier and SilverGlo, to provide a barrier between the home and the Earth. This homeowner was left with the peace of mind in knowing that their crawl space would no longer deal with moisture and humidity, and the home would have clean, healthy air.
In order to transform this dirty, damp crawl space to a useable place for storage a few things needed to be done. First, all the debris was cleared out. Then the crew installed EZ-Flow drainage, along with a SmartSump to pump any water out quickly. Then to create a vapor barrier the CleanSpace drainage matting and liner were installed. This protects the space from moisture and mold, but it also creates a better look for the crawl space. To ensure the crawl space stays airtight, the crew also installed an EverLast door. Now the crawl space looks amazing and the homeowner can actually use it!
