A homeowner in Savannah, GA called in with concern about soft spots in floors and possible subfloor replacement. A Smartjack system was installed to fix the floors as well as a Sedona dehumidifier with cleanspace to regulate the humidity. 

In a recent installation for a customer, we first laid down the CleanSpace Drainage matting system across the entire crawl space floor. This involved carefully positioning the matting to ensure proper water flow and drainage. Once the matting was in place, we installed the CleanSpace Vapor Barrier over it, ensuring a tight and secure fit against the walls and floor. This dual-layer system effectively prevents moisture intrusion and promotes a healthier, more durable crawl space.

This homeowner was experiencing high humidity levels that were wreaking havoc on their hardwood floors. We were able to help them get their moisture issues under control with our Cleanspace Encapsulation System.

During heavy rains, floodwaters can impose extreme loads against foundation walls. The force of floodwaters and waves can cause a foundation wall to cave in or collapse. The most effective way to blunt this destructive force is to provide a path through foundation walls so that water pressure can equalize inside and outside the foundation. SmartVent Flood Vents perform this task.

This Savannah, GA homeowner contacted Lowcountry Foundation Repair when he became concerned about the amount of water that was underneath his crawl space after a storm. We scheduled him for a free appointment with one of our inspectors. 

Our inspector, Brian Townsel, carefully took notes and images of the crawl space to show the homeowner. He suggested that the crawl space should be encapsulated with our CleanSpace, a seven-layer reinforced polyethylene that isolates the home from the earth and reduces humidity levels. We also installed our SaniDry Sedona, a dehumidifier that maintains the relative humidity in the crawl space to prevent moisture and microbial growth.

After just three days of installation, the crawl space was encapsulated and safe from flooding stormwater. The homeowner was thrilled!
