This Jacksonville homeowner was experiencing water pooling along the side of their home after heavy rains. Over time, standing water can seep into the foundation, cause mold growth, and even weaken the structural integrity of the home. The signs where clear water damage was becoming a real concern, and a long-term solution was needed.
Our team installed a French drain system along the side of the home. After carefully excavating the problem area, we placed a perforated drainpipe in a gravel trench to capture and redirect water away from the foundation. The system was then backfilled with clean stone to promote proper drainage while keeping the solution low-maintenance and effective.
Now, instead of pooling against the foundation, water is directed safely away from the home. This drainage system gives the homeowner peace of mind knowing their home is protected from future water damage and foundation issues.
We installed a French drain system to divert water away from the customer's shed to prevent water pooling around it. This helps protect the shed from potential water damage, such as rotting or mold, and ensures better drainage for the surrounding area.
To prevent flooding, we installed an exterior French drain system connected to buried downspouts. We dug a trench around the perimeter and placed a perforated pipe on a gravel bed. The downspouts were directed into the drain, and the trench was backfilled with gravel and soil. This system effectively diverts water away from the foundation, reducing the risk of flooding.
We tied the exterior French drain system and buried downspouts into a TripleSafe sump pump by directing the drainage pipes into the sump pit. The TripleSafe sump pump, equipped with three pumps for reliability, efficiently handles the incoming water, preventing basement flooding. The primary pump manages normal water flow, the secondary pump activates during heavy water volume or primary pump failure, and the battery-backup pump ensures operation during power outages. This setup ensures comprehensive water management and protection against flooding.
This Jacksonville crawl space was showing clear signs of trouble moisture intrusion, wood fungus growth, and floor sagging beneath the kitchen. Our team addressed the root of the problem by trenching and installing a drainage system designed to redirect water and reduce excess humidity. This solution helps protect the home’s structure, prevent further wood damage, and set the stage for long-term stability.
