Recently, we assisted Amy H. in Mount Dora, Florida, who was dealing with cracks in her home's exterior walls. These cracks indicated potential foundational issues that needed attention. Concerned about preventing further damage, Amy contacted us, and our Customer Care team quickly arranged an inspection. Our Design Specialist conducted a thorough inspection of the home's foundation and determined that the issue was due to foundation settlement, a common problem in our region due to soil conditions. To address this, we recommended installing Helical Piers, engineered steel piers designed to stabilize and lift the foundation. Helical Piers were strategically placed to support the foundation, and as a result, the cracks in the exterior walls began to close, much to Amy's relief. The outcome restored the structural integrity of her home, and our team left the site clean. Amy was satisfied with the service and the peace of mind it brought.
Eugene and Pam W. had owned their home in Englewood, Florida for many years and wanted to start renovations. They knew they needed to address the home's sinking concrete slabs before they could begin, so they decided to call LRE Foundation Repair for help. LRE inspected the home inside and out, and designed a plan that would fix the sunken concrete due to shifting, loose soil conditions. LRE used PolyLevel, an injectable and expanding polymer foam material that flows into the voids between loose soils particles, expanding to about 15 times its initial volume. This product was able to lift the concrete slab areas around the home, closing gaps and cracks. Once complete, these homeowners were pleasantly surprised at the results and excited to get to work on renovations.
Kathy and Makaela S. had been dealing with moisture issues in the back patio of their Auburndale, Florida home. Once they started noticing mold growing near the baseboards, they called LRE Foundation Repair for help. LRE conducted a thorough inspection of the property and noticed settlement damage and washed-out soils were the main causes of the moisture intrusion. Our team got to work on a solution to fix the problems and protect the foundation permanently by custom-designing a drainage system using an EZ-Flow French drain and sump pump installation. The French drain is a popular option to divert the flow of pooling water away from the foundation, and the sump pump works to collect and pump water out into the yard where it belongs. The whole system is buried underground leaving the homeowner happy with the drainage solution they were looking for.
Harold from Apopka, FL, reached out to LRE Foundation Repair for help installing an effective yard drainage system to divert rainwater away from his home and protect his foundation. After completing a complimentary inspection of Harold’s property, our Design Specialist created a customized plan to install a subsurface drainage system featuring strategically placed catch basins that would collect excess rainwater and redirect it through an underground drainage pipe to a relief drain away from the home.
Once Harold approved the plan, our team began excavating a trench for the drainage pipe and setting the catch basins in place. After the installation was complete, the crew carefully restored the yard using the previously removed sod and added gravel around the catch basins to guide water into the system.
Now, Harold’s home is well-protected from water pooling around the property, providing lasting peace of mind and protection for his foundation.
