John M. from Winter Haven, Florida noticed that the concrete slab beneath his jacuzzi was shifting. He only realized the severity of the problem after the jacuzzi was removed, and he saw that the slab was cracked all the way across. He contacted LRE Foundation Repair to fix the pool deck area and to ensure that there were no other issues he needed to worry about. LRE conducted a thorough inspection and discovered that a faulty drainage system and downspout had caused erosion under the concrete slab. To address the issue, LRE first injected PolyLevel under the concrete slab and surrounding areas. This polyurethane product flows easily through loose soils and expands to lift the concrete and solidify the soil beneath it. Afterward, NexusPro was applied, which is a silicone-based sealer that seals cracks and joints. LRE completed the project by installing a new drainage system to divert water away from the foundation and out into the yard. Upon completion of the project, the homeowner was amazed at how the concrete slab was re-leveled and the foundation was now protected.
Thomas O. of Winter Haven, Florida has lived in his home for many years and was growing tired of the cracked and uneven concrete slabs that surrounded his backyard pool. The concrete was so unlevel in some places that it was causing tripping hazards around the pool. He called LRE Foundation Repair for a solution and upon inspection, LRE determined that loose soils, coupled with large trees and root systems were the main causes of the shifting slabs. LRE designed a solution that consisted of PolyLevel, a high-density injectable polymer foam material that expands, filling voids and lifting concrete. Once the PolyLevel was injected under multiple concrete slabs throughout the backyard, the homeowner was more than pleased to see the trip hazards removed and a smooth, releveled pool deck remaining.
Ann L. was dealing with persistent water pooling around her patio. During our inspection, we discovered that poor grading and inadequate drainage were the root causes. To fix this, we installed a channel drain, also known as a trench drain, in the patio after removing a few pavers. This drain now directs water away from the patio and into the yard. The project was completed quickly, and Ann loved the result—her patio not only looks great but stays dry, solving the issue for good.
Having faced constant flooding issues on his pool deck during rainstorms, Stephen from Port Charlotte, Florida, needed a more effective drainage solution than what was previously in place. He asked us at LRE Foundation Repair for help, and one of our expert Design Specialists visited his home to inspect the pool deck. After carefully examining the issue, our production team replaced the smaller original channel drain with a more robust and effective one to collect excess rainwater and divert it away from the pool deck through an exterior drainage system. With this improved solution in place, Stephen’s flooding issues on his pool deck have now been ultimately resolved.
