In St. Petersburg, Florida, Doreen faced a recurring issue with water pooling near her garage during heavy rain. Concerned about the potential threat this posed to her home’s foundation, she contacted LRE Foundation Repair for a full inspection and possible drainage solutions.
Our Design Specialist discovered that the slope of her yard directed water toward the garage, causing it to collect in that area. To address the problem, we proposed installing a channel drain directly in front of the garage within the driveway’s concrete. This system would collect excess rainwater and redirect it through an underground pipe away from the home.
Once Doreen approved the plan, our team moved quickly to install the channel drain and underground piping. The result was a reliable solution that protects her home’s foundation and eliminates water pooling near the garage. Now, Doreen can enjoy peace of mind knowing her home is safe and dry, no matter how heavy the rain.
Patrick K. bought his home in Saint Petersburg, Florida around three years ago. However, he has been experiencing settlement and a shifting foundation ever since. He tried fixing many of the cosmetic repairs on his own but to no avail. So he decided to call LRE Foundation Repair to identify the root cause of the problem and fix it once and for all. After conducting a thorough home inspection, LRE decided to install a SmartJack system in the crawlspace and helical piers around the perimeter of the foundation where proper footings were missing. Loose and unstable soils had compromised the interior floors, so they installed galvanized steel posts, or jacks, under the home to stabilize and lift the floors back to level. The part of the crawlspace that had pulled away from the home was stabilized and gaping cracks were closed with the installation of helical piers. Once the project was complete, the homeowner was relieved to finally enjoy his permanently stabilized "new" home.
Facing recurring issues of pooling water and erosion around the backyard of his St. Petersburg, Florida home, Jeff T. recognized the pressing need for a drainage system. To address the problem, he decided to contact us at LRE Foundation Repair after a recommendation. We inspected the property and determined that the heavy rainfall was posing a potential threat to his home's foundation, and thus opted for the installation of a new trench drain, commonly referred to as a channel drain. Channel drains are useful in directing large amounts of water away from the home and out into the yard or street where it belongs. The relatively easy installation process left this homeowner more than pleased as his concerns were calmed and his home protected from any further damage.
Angelina from St. Petersburg, Florida, was preparing to sell her home and wanted to ensure the foundation was stable after noticing that the floors in some areas of the house appeared to be sloping. Her home has a crawl space, and she reached out to LRE Foundation Repair to conduct a thorough inspection and identify any potential structural issues.
We sent one of our Design Specialists to her home, and upon entering the crawl space, they immediately observed that the floor joists in the affected areas were sagging and in need of additional support. To resolve the issue, our team installed our state-of-the-art SmartJack system to provide durable, permanent reinforcement for the floor joists, effectively restoring the floors to their proper level.
Now, Angelina can confidently place her home on the market, assured that the foundation is permanently stabilized.
After removing a large tree near her home in St. Petersburg, FL, Deborah began noticing serious structural issues at one corner of her foundation. Because her home is built over a crawl space, the loss of support beneath the home created voids that caused the foundation to sink and the exterior stem wall to separate—creating visible openings that could be seen from inside the home.
Deborah reached out to LRE Foundation Repair, and one of our experienced Design Specialists performed a free, comprehensive inspection to assess the damage. Based on the findings, a customized solution was designed using helical piers to lift and permanently stabilize the compromised section of the foundation.
Once approved, our team installed each pier deep into solid, load-bearing soil and secured each of them to the foundation's footer. This process transferred the weight of the home to stable soil layers and allowed the affected area to be carefully raised back into position. With the repairs complete, the structural cracks are now closed, and this corner of Deborah’s home is fully stabilized and protected against future settlement.
