The primary components of this foundation repair project included Push Piers and Helical Piers. Helical Piers are designed to stabilize a home's foundation permanently and, in many cases, can even lift it back to its original level. These steel piers are mechanically screwed into the ground to reach stable soil layers. Once installed to the appropriate depths and load capacities, a steel foundation bracket is attached to the footing of the home. This system transfers the weight of the structure from the unstable surface soils through the piers to competent, load-bearing soil or bedrock below.
