Before & After Photos

The old jacks that were installed to support the floor of this home were rusted. Our solution was to replace them with our SmartJack Adjustable Steel Posts.

The wood posts in this home were failing, causing the floor to sag. We removed them and installed our SmartJack adjustable steel posts in their place. Problem Solved. 

The "Before" photo shows the condition in which the home was when Mrs. L bought her home. The previous owner dealt with his floor support issues by shimming the wooden posts; this was only putting a band-aid on an issue that would keep getting worse. 

The "After" photo shows our solution to sinking floors and failing wood posts, The SmartJack Adjustable Steel Post. Soil constantly shifts beneath our feet. In the case of this home, it had caused the concrete footings that helped support the floor to sink. Wood posts can't be adjusted and shims are not a long-term solution. This homeowner knew that their floors were unlevel and that if they kept putting off repairing them, the problem would only get worse and the price to fix it would continue to rise. We removed the old, rusty jacks that were no longer supporting the floor properly, and replaced them with SmartJack Adjustable Steel Posts. 

This residence is located in Cupertino CA, our customer came to us with concerns regarding settling issues with his foundation. Doing their research, they found us and set an appointment with our appointment center.

Our Structural Consultant, Steve Mack, came to evaluate their situation. The home had settling and cracking issues in the foundation and interior walls with downhill settlement over -2.5 inches on the left and rear sides. Solving this customers issue would include stabilizing and lifting the foundation walls by installing our push pier system vertically into the Earth until it reached bedrock and to add additional steel where needed to support cracks in the foundation.
