The PowerBrace System was initially installed on the wall to help stabilize it and provide additional support within the construction of the auxiliary wall.
The photograph reveals significant deterioration and crumbling of the brick support post, indicating a failure to adequately bear the load of the upper floors. This compromised support poses a serious threat to the structural integrity of the entire home.
The existing basement support posts lacked sufficient load-bearing capacity, causing the floor system above to experience structural deflection and begin to sag.
Metal rods are drilled out of the basement and into durable soil. The GeoLock system is then secured into place with galvanized steel plates.
As you can see in the photo, the insulation in the crawl space is falliing out of place. These homeowners needed a permanent solution to properly keep the house warm and make the home more energy effecient.
The weight of the home's structure, particularly the front pillars, exerted sustained pressure on the underlying soil, leading to differential settlement. Over time, this caused the front stoop to sink and become misaligned, compromising both safety and curb appeal.
Water infiltration occurred through cold joints and cracks in the foundation slab, where hydrostatic pressure from the surrounding high water table exceeded the capacity of previously applied crack sealants. As a result, the basement remained vulnerable to persistent moisture intrusion, leading to elevated humidity levels and increasing the risk of mold growth and long-term structural damage.
TrenchDrain, a type of WaterGuard serving as a surface drainage system, has been installed at the garage entrance. It is designed to collect water during heavy rainfall.
