The foundation wall was bowing slightly, indicating a lack of structural integrity.
The existing basement support posts lacked sufficient load-bearing capacity, causing the floor system above to experience structural deflection and begin to sag.
WaterGuard was installed along the perimeter of the basement to capture water before it could access the finished basement space. The system is set within crushed stone to ensure proper flow of water to the sump pump's basin.
Lacking adequate support, the sunroom began to sink, leading to considerable damage that would escalate if not addressed.
The previously installed sump pump was insufficient to manage the volume of water infiltrating the basement. This inadequacy is evidenced by the onset of mold growth and water damage on the basement floor.
The previous sump pump installed in the basement of the home stopped working. This left the basement prone to basement floods. At one point, the basement filled with 4' of water.
The water entering through this block foundation wall initially suggests a need for waterproofing. However, upon closer inspection, notice the crack on the foundation floor. Our System Design Specialist conducted a thorough inspection and identified several similar issues, indicating a more serious problem: foundation damage. Settlement was compromising the home's integrity, leading to severe basement leaks.
Despite already having a sump pump installed, water seepage through the home's foundation still occurred. In order to protect the basement for when the space is finished, these homeowners needed a reliable sump pump that they knew would keep the basement dry at all times.
